About Bacterial Control
To protect users from harnful bacteria, HOYA introduces the anti-bacterial coating. It is a KOHKIN treated product that can prevent the proliferation of surface bacteria, which are proven to reduce bacteria growth by at least 99.9%2.
HOYA is even the first eyeglass lens manufacturer to register the above KOHKIN technology with SIAA, the Society of International Sustaining Growth for Antimicrobial Articles3, ensuring the lenses' safety, reliability and effectiveness.
Applied both front and back surface
Bacterial control applied anti-bacteiral coating layer on the front and back surface using silver iron known as AG+. It can reduce bacteria growth by at least 99.9% that can protect you in everyday life.
