Director of Eye Care Professional Education

Summary

The Director of Eye Care Professional (ECP) Education will be responsible for all Training Activities for product and ECP programs This position will report to the Sr. Director of Training and Development.  This position, along with the CDM’s, will provide support in the following areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the following responsibilities (but not limited to):

Work with ECP’s, Sales and Marketing in developing, coordinating and facilitating training for ECP’s and Consultants.

Deliver/ Facilitate Live training sessions

Develop Returning on Investment (ROI) and Return on Expectation (ROE) on training, budget and expenses

Work with Learning and Development (L&D) to implement follow up within programs

Work with Head of Training and Performance Development to promote and advertise programs

Work cross-channel with other business units to promote and create traffic to the programs, deliver content and access needs. Some departments will be:

Marketing

Learning and Development

Human Resources

Professional Affairs

Sales

Create, maintain and manage internal Hoya technical programs with Marketing

Over-see Learning Management System (Empower U)

Travel to deliver programs and train the Customer Development Manager’s

Work with Training vendors to get the best programs and cost for Hoya.

Cross coordinate with CDM’s and L&D team to ensure cohesion

Work with L&D Manager to create and implement surveys to access delivered classes needs

 

Technical: This position will provide technical expertise by helping with the following (but not limited to):

Work with Marketing to collaborate around scientific claims for Hoya products

Build/Review/ Manage technical training programs for New Hires

Support online and e-learning initiatives from a technical standpoint

Work closely with L&D Manager to create/implement training

In conjunction with L&D Manager create technical assessments for Sales Force

Support for Hoya Sales Staff regarding technical questions.

Strong Presentation, Facilitation and webinar skills.

Bachelor’s degree

Organization and planning skills

Understands retail strategies to drive growth

Able to communicate/teach basic financial principles/concepts

Well organized and strong communicator

Experience managing inventory in optical dispensary

Strong technical expertise

5+ Years in Optical Industry

Project management skills

Training delivery background

Takes direction well

Ability to prioritize and work independently

Strong personal skills
