HOYA India Launches Vision Screening Campaign for Commercial Vehicle Drivers

At HOYA, our mission is to provide health through vision, for all. That’s why recently, a vision screening campaign was launched by HOYA Lens India, inviting commercial vehicle drivers to get their sight checked.

 

Partnered by IVI, in association with the Indian Optometric Association (IOA) and All India Optical Federation (AIOF), HOYA Lens India provided vision screenings for 85 drivers at the Harayana Roadways’ Bus Workshop in Gurugram – as well as supplying 35 free pairs of spectacles to those found to have uncorrected refractive errors.

 

As well as supporting HOYA’s wider aim to prevent avoidable blindness in India, the campaign aimed to enhance driving conditions and safety for drivers and road-users alike.

 

“It is a great initiative, especially as vision issues and myopia have assumed pandemic proportions globally.
