At HOYA Vision Care, our purpose is simple yet powerful: “Improve Life through Vision.”
Each year on World Sight Day, our incredible colleagues - Ambassadors of our One Vision sustainability program - bring this purpose to life through special outreach activities that raise awareness about eye health and build partnerships to make a lasting impact.
This year, as part of our new series One Vision, Many Stories, we’re proud to spotlight one of these inspiring initiatives from HOYA Vision Care team in Indonesia.
What if an eye check felt more like an adventure than an exam?
In celebration of World Sight Day 2025, our team in Indonesia partnered with Keluarga Kita to raise awareness about children’s eye health in a fun, family-friendly way. At the Festival Keluarga Kita 2025, they hosted an engaging game called “Misi Petualangan Mata-Mata” (The Spy Vision Adventure) where children between the ages of 8–10 became “Spy Vision Agents”, completing missions that blended adventure with eye health education.
Behind every challenge was a purpose: subtly incorporating an indirect eye screening to help identify potential refractive errors like myopia. At the end of the game, parents received simple insights from their child’s “mission card,” helping them understand whether a follow-up eye check might be needed.
Through this creative and heartfelt initiative, our Ambassadors in Indonesia turned vision awareness into something joyful, memorable, and impactful, proving that caring for one’s eyes can start with something as simple as play.
A big thank-you to Anadea Salsabilla Rahma for sharing this story and to our amazing Indonesia team for inspiring us all. Let’s show them some love in the comments and tag your teammates who continue to make a difference every day!
