Understanding Myopia
Myopia, also called near-sightedness, is a common eye-focusing condition, whereby objects far away appear blurry and out of focus.¹⁴
Slow down myopia progression, so that they can go full steam ahead.
Today, in most cases, myopia is corrected with single vision spectacle lenses, which only provide clear and sharp vision. However, they do not help to slow down myopia progression.
That’s why we created the MiYOSMART spectacle lenses, an innovative treatment solution that provides clear vision, while simultaneously slowing down myopia progression in an easy, safe, effective and non-invasive way.¹⁻⁴
MiYOSMART spectacle lenses use the revolutionary D.I.M.S. Technology to correct the myopic refractive error and provide clear vision.
D.I.M.S. Technology uses a honeycomb-shaped segment treatment area (‘defocus zone’) to slow down myopia progression, and a clear zone (‘focus zone’) with you child’s prescription. The focus zone provides clear vision and the defocus zone manages myopia at the same time.

The advanced hydrophobic technology that keeps your kid's lenses cleaner for longer.
MiYOSMART spectacle lenses are built tough for everyday adventures. They include an anti-reflective coating making the lenses almost invisible and durable protection against life's little scratches.
On top of that, a new advanced Smooth Touch Xtreme technology is now available, providing long-lasting hydrophobic perfomance which keeps the lenses cleaner for longer, resisting to daily wiping for nearly 3 years. Performing just as well as on day one.⁵

With the highest number of peer-reviewed publications on myopia management spectacle solutions, MiYOSMART ensures you have access to robust and reliable information when making your decision.
MiYOSMART spectacle lenses slowed down myopia progression on average by 60% on average, compared to wearing standard single vision spectacle lenses.¹
MiYOSMART sun spectacle lenses have adopted D.I.M.S. Technology to correct myopia and slow down its progression.¹˒⁸˒¹⁰ They also protect from intense sunlight, which provides eye comfort and encourages children to spend more time outdoors.⁶,⁷
MiYOSMART sun spectacle lenses offer protection from harmful UV rays,⁵,⁶,¹⁰ reducing the risk of long-term damage to the eye - so you can be sure your child’s eyes are well taken care of!
Raising the standard of vision care once again, MiYOSMART iQ is the most advanced myopia control spectacle lens HOYA has ever developed - designed to support effective myopia management from an early stage.
Most Eye Care Professionals recommend at least 2 hours of outdoor time a day. Encouraging your child to step away from screens and get outside is one of the most effective things you can do.12
Get your child’s eyes checked regularly to ensure myopia or other vision problems are detected and treated early. Be conscious of your child’s tendency to hide or downplay their vision problems.
Reduce your child’s eye strain by reminding them to take regular breaks from screen time and short-sighted activities. Encourage the 20-20-20 rule – every 20 minutes look at an object at least 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.13
