About Bacterial Control
To protect users from harmful bacteria, HOYA introduces Hi-Vision Anti-Bacterial coating. It is a KOHKIN treated product that can prevent the proliferation of surface bacteria, which are proven to reduce bacteria growth by at least 99.9%2.
HOYA is the first eyeglass lens manufacturer to register the above KOHKIN technology with SIAA, the Society of International Sustaining Growth for Antimicrobial Articles3, ensuring the lenses' safety, reliability and effectiveness.
Applied to both the front & back surfaces
A layer of Anti-Bacterial coating is applied to the front and back surface of the lens using silver iron known as AG+. It can reduce bacteria growth by at least 99.9% that can protect you in everyday life.
